CPR & First Aid Training Program

Working closely with American Heart Association (AHA), OMCC provides training space for individuals and groups on proper techniques and procedures to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on adults, children and infants as well as Standard First Aid skills.

American Heart Association's one-day CPR/First Aid Training Program will teaches workplace responders and anyone who wants to be prepared to respond to emergencies and provide care until advanced medical care arrives. Upon successful completion, students will receive a two-year professional certification from AHA.

Completion of CPR training is required for OMCC's Practical Nursing, and Phlebotomy training programs. Many jobs, especially in the healthcare industry, also require CPR & First Aid certification as a mandatory skill.

CPR and First Aid classes are open to public. Students who enroll in both OMCC Nurse Aide (CNA/STNA) and Home Care Aide (HCA) classes will receive CPR and First Aid training for free. Please contact OMCC Admission Office for details. Acceptable forms of payment for the CPR/First Aid classes include cash, money order, or cashier's check.

CPR & First Aid classes are offered on the same Saturdays throughout the year. Student may choose to take one or both components.
